Sophia Yang is a Manager in the firm's Assurance and Technology Control Services Group and has over 5 years of exprience. She has experience in financial reporting, SOC reporting and variance analysis as well as agreed upon procedures to ensure audit tasks are complete and accurate within established timeframes. Sophia is responsible for internal controls and IT risk management. She serves client in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, non-for profit, technology, health care, and financial institutions.
Sophia performs IT general control testing (ITGC) to verify compliance with SOX provisions and professional standards and experience consists of assisting with engagements from audit procedures to report findings and presenting recommendations for improving client’s data integrity and operations. She has spent time performing tests of key controls for SOC 1 and SOC 2 to assess the design and operating effectiveness of existing controls.
Prior to joining the firm, Sophia worked with a large insurance company as a Junior Accountant.
