Lauren P. Berret

Lauren P. Berret is a Managing Director in the firm’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring Services Group with over a decade of experience advising stakeholders in restructuring and fiduciary matters. Lauren is known for leading stabilization efforts in complex, distressed operations where regulatory oversight, financial uncertainty, and litigation risk converge.  Her work reflects a cross-disciplinary approach, combining restructuring strategy, fiduciary advisory, and forensic financial analysis.

Lauren focuses on complex restructurings and distressed enterprises across a range of industries and company sizes.  She serves as a financial advisor to court-appointed receivers and other fiduciaries in matters involving multi-entity operations and heavily regulated industries, including healthcare. In these roles, she works closely with state agencies, counsel, lenders, and operators to preserve enterprise value, protect key stakeholders, and execute controlled transitions, sale processes, and, when necessary, coordinated wind-downs.

Lauren brings a dual background as both a certified public accountant and licensed attorney, allowing her to provide rigorous financial analysis grounded in legal strategy. Prior to transitioning to advisory services, Lauren practiced law as a consumer bankruptcy attorney, representing debtors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 proceedings. This experience informs her practical, solutions-oriented approach and her understanding of how restructuring decisions affect real businesses and individuals.

Lauren is an active leader in the restructuring community. She serves as Co-Chair of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) Greater Philadelphia Network and is a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), where she serves on the Global DE&I Committee. In recognition of her professional leadership and impact, Lauren received the TMA 2024 “Emerging Leader” Award and was named to the American Bankruptcy Institute’s 2024 “40 Under 40” class, which honors top insolvency professionals under the age of 40.
