Jay Lindenberg is a Director in the firm’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring Services Group. With over 35 years of hands-on experience, Jay is actively involved with restructuring & forensic accounting engagements and has served as a financial advisor to various parties-in-interest for bankruptcy proceedings.

Jay specializes in advising financially troubled companies and guiding them through the bankruptcy process. His work includes preparing business and individual income tax returns, including those for individual debtor bankruptcy trusts. He has been involved in complex bankruptcy matters involving fraud, damage claims, and asset recovery efforts, and conducts forensic accounting investigations that have uncovered defalcations. Over the course of his career, Jay has been personally involved in more than 750 cases across real estate, healthcare, service businesses, distribution, and manufacturing industries, frequently serving as an expert witness.

In addition, Jay has testified as an expert witness in bankruptcy court and state court proceedings. He works closely with Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 trustees and other fiduciaries on avoidance action recoveries, litigation matters, and the completion of case administration.
