Denisse Moderski is a Tax Partner in the State and Local Tax (SALT) Group with over a decade of specialized experience in multistate tax advisory services, with a primary focus on transactional planning, restructuring strategies, and tax optimization for complex investment structures. She advises clients across the Financial Services, FinTech, Life Sciences, Real Estate, and Family Office sectors, and leads the New York State and Local Income Tax practice for Financial Services and Family Offices.
Denisse has deep expertise in M&A tax advisory, providing strategic guidance on buy-side and sell-side due diligence, acquisition structuring, and post-transaction integration planning. She frequently counsels clients on the sale of partnership interests, pass-through entity tax (PTET) elections, and the state and local tax implications of corporate reorganizations. Her advisory practice also encompasses nexus and sourcing analyses, apportionment planning, and audit defense strategies, through which she has successfully mitigated exposure and secured refund opportunities across multiple jurisdictions.

Prior to joining the firm, Denisse served as a Senior Manager at a Big Four accounting firm, where she focused on delivering state tax advisory services to financial services, commercial, and emerging market clients.
