Brett Cornell is a Tax Partner and a member of the Financial Services Group with over 10 years of tax and accounting experience. He specializes in tax consulting and compliance services for the financial services industry. Brett provides services to a broad range of asset management clients, including hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, funds of funds, and investment advisors.
Brett’s experience includes working closely with the firm’s National Tax Group, where he advised clients on federal income tax issues related to subchapter S rules, business restructurings, issues impacting cannabis businesses, and other areas. In addition, Brett provided tax due diligence services for M&A transactions.
Brett is an active member of several organizations in the financial services industry within the South Florida community and regularly attends and hosts local industry events.
Brett speaks before professional audiences on various tax topics relevant to the alternative investment industry. He is also involved in the recruitment and training of new and experienced staff. Additionally, Brett volunteers for various charitable organizations as part of EisnerAmper Cares.
