Adeola Akinrinade is a Partner in the firm’s Financial Advisory Services Group with over 15 years of experience advising companies, creditors, and other stakeholders on complex financial and strategic matters. Her experience focuses on restructurings and bankruptcies, both in‑court and out‑of‑court, as well as financings and refinancings, mergers and acquisitions, and broader strategic advisory engagements.
Adeola works closely with management teams, boards, lenders, and fiduciaries to address operational and financial challenges, including liquidity management, liability management, cash flow forecasting, vendor and stakeholder negotiations, capital sourcing, due diligence, and the execution of sale, financing, and restructuring processes. She has advised clients across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, not‑for‑profits, consumer and retail, industrials, energy, power and utilities, and media.
Prior to joining the firm, Adeola was a member of the Corporate Finance team at a global advisory firm focused on restructuring, turnaround, and performance improvement. In this role, she advised both debtors and creditors in complex restructuring situations. Her work included evaluating strategic alternatives such as mergers and acquisitions, financing and refinancings, and capital structure restructurings, as well as performing financial and valuation analyses and leading marketing processes for sale and financing transactions. Earlier in her career, Adeola spent three years in the Investment Banking Division at a prominent Wall Street investment bank, where she focused on the power and utilities sector .
Some of Adeola’s notable engagements include serving as Debtor financial advisor to Jackson Hospital & Clinic, serving as Debtor financial advisor to St. Christopher’s, serving as financial advisor to the Receiver of Harmony Foundation, serving as Financial Advisor to the Receiver of Woodland Behavioral Health, advising the Fuel Lien Lenders of the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, representing the Senior Secured Noteholders of Brookstone, advising America’s Water Heater Rentals in its sale to Direct Energy, advising the Government Development Bank of Puerto Rico, advisor to the Bondholders of Elpida Inc. and representing Vertrue Inc. in its restructuring process.
