Sean Deneault

Sean Deneault is a Senior Manager in the firm's International Tax Services Group. With nearly 15 years of experience, he specializes in individual international taxation, advising on foreign trusts, inbound immigration planning, and complex international information reporting.

Sean helps clients navigate the complexities of cross-border reporting in an evolving legal landscape. He develops tailored strategies that mitigate risk while supporting long-term financial goals. His background as both a tax advisor and a litigator enable him to provide unique insight—whether assisting clients to remedy past compliance issues or evaluate current and future reporting obligations. Sean is experienced in providing legal interpretation, technical guidance, as well as litigating complex cases before the U.S. Tax Court and advising the Department of Justice on federal tax matters, including high-profile international cases at the U.S. Appellate and Supreme Court levels.

Prior to joining EisnerAmper, Sean served more than a decade with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, most recently as Senior Counsel.
