Morgan Mahaffey

Morgan Mahaffey is a Managing Director in the firm's Reals Estate Services Group. With 15 years of public accounting experience, Morgan focuses on tax credit partnerships and pass-through entity taxation and is responsible for providing tax compliance, tax planning, and tax consulting services. 

Morgan has extensive knowledge of both State and Federal Low Income Housing Tax Credit, Historic Tax Credit, New Market Tax Credit, Energy Credits, and Opportunity Zones. This knowledge enables him to assist general partners and their counsel in navigating the tax issues that frequently arise during the initial deal structuring, as well as planning for year 15. Morgan's accounting and legal backgrounds enable him to provide valuable insights to his clients. Morgan understands the importance of providing safe, clean, affordable housing to low and moderate-income individuals and their families and is passionate about doing his part to promote these programs.

Prior to joining the firm, Morgan was a Tax Partner in Tidwell Group, LLC, a full-service accounting firm specializing in the real estate sector across the United States, focusing on affordable housing, conventional real estate, and not-for-profit industries.
