Adam Karasick is one of the firm’s practice leaders in data analytics and business intelligence. Mr. Karasick has 15 years of professional experience applying data analytics as an analyst in a large quantitative trading firm, in accounting and business consulting, and as part of many forensic accounting investigations.
Mr. Karasick’s data analytics workflow utilizes Microsoft Power BI, an analytics and visualization tool for processing large sets of raw data to present actionable information. He has developed many dashboards within the application, allowing clients and attorneys to make measurable decisions on their own via an interactive reporting framework. He has designed dashboards, data visualization, and other analytics tools for audit, tax and financial reporting engagements. Mr. Karasick also utilizes other information technology resources to assist with converting source data in the form of large electronic files, scans, or databases into a usable format for downstream analysis. He has also developed automation tools to aid and assist in performing these processes for our forensics team.
Mr. Karasick has consulted on a wide array of matters, including assisting the New York State Attorney General, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Department of Justice. He has also assisted on cases involving contract disputes, intellectual property disputes, lost profit claims, business interruptions, and fraud investigations. He has led forensic investigations and litigation consulting engagements for clients in many industries, including medical devices, telecommunications, energy, manufacturing, finance, education, and technology.
Prior to joining the firm, Adam worked for a national accounting firm and provided audit, accounting and consulting services. He also worked at a regional accounting firm and performed municipal audits. He was named a recipient of the 2020 Digi-Tech Innovator Award by NJBIZ.
