Sage Intacct 2026 R3 Release: Continuing to Bring Value with Enhanced Functionality

Sage Intacct automatically deploys program updates and enhancements to all subscribers each quarter. The 2026 R3 release includes several notable enhancements, both expanding existing functionality and releasing brand new features. This includes improvements to AP Automation and navigation, in addition to new collaboration and AI tools. The updates below provide more detail on key Sage Intacct enhancements and how they improve and support the day-to-day work for finance teams.

Anomaly Detection in AP Automation

AP Automation now uses AI-driven anomaly detection to identify potentially risky transactions before payment.

Sage Intacct analyzes vendor billing patterns and submission details to flag unusual transaction amounts and unrecognized vendor email addresses. This helps Accounts Payable (AP) teams focus on higher-risk transactions, reduce manual review, and strengthen fraud controls.

Why We’re Excited

Building on the already powerful AI functionality of bill entry, Sage is now turning the focus to deepening the value of the knowledge gained through anomaly detection. This added functionality will allow users to identify unusual transactions earlier and focus more closely on transactions that need attention. This gives your team more time to investigate exceptions before they become larger issues, while keeping routine transactions moving efficiently.

Sage Collaborate — Increase Visibility and Control

Sage Collaborate is the next generation of Intacct Collaborate, helping your team communicate in real time directly on Sage Intacct records.

With this release, eligible companies can migrate from Intacct Collaborate to Sage Collaborate and take advantage of new capabilities that improve visibility, administration, and access management.

Why We’re Excited

The ability to communicate in-context directly on records within Sage Intacct with improved visibility, usability, and control versus the prior Intacct Collaborate tool provides a significant value. Collaborate Feeds can be added to dashboards and opened in a fixed side panel that is easier to interact with and gives greater visibility within the record.

Discover and Use AI Agents in Sage Intacct

Extend Sage Copilot with AI agents from certified Sage partners. Discover, purchase, and manage agents from a centralized marketplace while controlling access through Sage Intacct roles.

Sage reviews and certifies all marketplace agents through a technical, security, and legal process.

Why We’re Excited

A centralized agent marketplace will make it simple for users to find certified AI agents to enhance their Sage Intacct functionality. Additionally, an administration console will allow for simplified management and governance of AI agents within your instance.

Updated Global Navigation

We've updated the global navigation experience to help you move between Sage applications, access shared Sage tools, and quickly identify your product and company from a single, consistent location. The navigation supports both light and dark themes and is fully accessible using a keyboard.

Your existing Sage Intacct workflows, settings, and product navigation are unchanged. This update affects only the top-level header.

Why We’re Excited

Users will now have a consistent navigation experience across Sage products, with faster access to applications and clear product context. You will also be able to access centralized tools such as Copilot, Collaborate, Announcements, and Help.

Looking Ahead

The 2026 R3 release also highlights several new functionalities that are in the Early Adopter phase. Early Adopter features are in final-stage testing, and users can request to be included in the trial of the enhancement. The following solutions illustrate Sage’s continued commitment to increasing the value gained with your subscription:

• Smart Excel Reporting – a new report writing option to use Sage Intacct financial data to build reports directly in Microsoft Excel
• Embedded Customer Payment Services – accelerate cash flow by offering a self-service payment option to your customers directly from their invoices.
• Automate Prepaid Expense Amortization – eliminate manual tracking of prepaid expenses and automate expense recognition over time with a new module to replace the existing integrated solution.
