  • Evaluate charitable giving vehicles and timing strategies, including donor-advised funds, gifts of appreciated securities, and charitable trustsUnderstand the retirement, credit, and income phase-out considerations that influence individual year-end planning

Part II | Planning for Businesses

Gain clarity on the latest federal, state and local, and international tax developmentsOur tax professionals will help you identify timely, actionable strategies to reduce your 2026 income tax liabilities and position your organization for long-term success.

Learning Objectives: Participants will develop an understanding of the federal, international, and state and local tax law changes shaping 2026 year-end planning for businesses and their owners and build awareness of strategies to manage 2026 tax liability across entity types and jurisdictions.

Learning Outcomes: Participants will be able to:

  • Identify federal business planning opportunities for 2026, including 100% bonus depreciation, IRC Sec. 179 expensing, the Qualified Business Income deduction, Section 1202 QSBS, and IRC Sec. 174A R&D expensing 
  • Describe the international tax changes affecting multinational structures, including tax consequences of tariff refunds, GILTI-to-NCTI and FDII-to-FDDEI transitions and foreign tax credit updates 
  • Evaluate state and local tax considerations, including state conformity to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, market-based sourcing updates, and pass-through entity tax elections 
  • Understand year-end accounting method, business interest limitation under Section 163(j), and loss limitation planning considerations
