Balancing Agility and Control in Rapidly Transforming Organizations
This session examines how organizations are transforming faster than ever, especially in the age of AI. Leadership teams must move fast while maintaining trust and accountability without increasing organizational risk. Participants will explore the tension between speed and structure, the governance models that resolve it, and what AI requires from IT, risk, and transformation functions simultaneously. The session draws on real-world experience across change management, cyber risk, AI services, and IT leadership to deliver a practical executive playbook.
Learning Objectives:
- Develop an understanding of why agility and control create tension during AI-driven transformation.
- Understand how governance, change management, and IT operating models must evolve for AI adoption.
- Recognize the leadership actions that distinguish organizations that scale AI successfully from those that stall.
Learning Outcomes:
Participants will be able to:
- Identify the three root causes of transformation failure: undefined ownership, fragmented governance, and absence of change management.
- Describe the five components of an agile governance model and how each enables accountability at speed.
- Apply the five executive playbook actions to prioritize and sequence AI transformation initiatives within their organizations.
- Recognize how IT must evolve from service provider to embedded business partner in an AI-first operating model.
