July 11, 2019

Deborah Friedland, EisnerAmper Corporate Finance Managing Director and head of Hospitality Advisory Services, was named a “2019 Top U.S.A. Woman Dealmaker” by the Global M&A Network at its July 11 U.S.A. Growth & Deals Intelligence Forum in Washington, DC.

More than 1,400 firms went through the rigorous nomination process to arrive at the list of this year’s honorees. The “Top U.S.A. Woman Dealmaker Award” is comprised of leading M&A dealmakers and restructuring and turnaround professionals. The award celebrates the impact these women have made and the excellence they embody. Awards are based on practical experience, value-generating transactions, and professional position within one’s firm and the marketplace.

Friedland has been honored numerous times this year for her role in the reorganization of the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center in Illinois. Her team’s reorganization plan included the restructuring of more than $250 million of bond debt, hotel recapitalization, and the preservation of 300 jobs.

“The work that Deborah and her team do every day in the hospitality, restructuring and turnaround space—taking complex situations and underperforming entities and facilitating a positive transformation that benefits both the companies and their communities—makes us incredibly proud,” said Joel Barth, Principal and Leader of EisnerAmper’s Corporate Finance Practice.
