Global public accounting firm, EisnerAmper LLP, announces that Denise Finney, Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Pension Services Group, has been selected as a member of the Employee Benefit Plans Expert Panel by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”) in the Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center  (“EBPAQC”) subset for the 2024-2025 service year.

AICPA is a professional community that seeks to uphold high ethical standards for accounting professionals, emphasizing four key values: integrity, collaboration, passion, and innovation. Established in 1887, the AICPA’s mission is to power the success of global businesses through research and advocacy in hopes of instilling public confidence in the integrity, professionalism, and competence of CPAs. Aligned with the overall mission of AICPA, EBPAQC is a membership-based program that strives to promote the quality of benefit plans audit. With the increased complexity and continuous changes in the industry, various firms and CPAs look to the organization as a valuable and credible resource for updating and improving employee benefit plan audit quality.

“The AICPA strives toward continued excellence in the field and is responsible for many achievements and growth in the profession,” said Finney. "I am beyond honored and humbled to be chosen as an expert panelist, and I look forward to the upcoming opportunities to support the audit profession.”

With over 20 years of experience in public accounting, Finney specializes in helping clients with their annual employee benefit plan audit requirements. She also aids the firm’s National Office of Professional Practice, specifically relating to employee benefit plan audits and serves as Executive Director of the Family Circle, an organization that advocates for family and work-life balance. Aside from her work at the firm, Finney devotes her spare time to her community as an active member and past President of the New York State Society of CPA’s (“NYSSCPA”) Mid- Hudson Chapter and spending time with her husband, son, and two rescue animals.
