EisnerAmper, along with a group of allied professional service firms, has been named the 2019 Turnaround Atlas Award Winner for “Chapter 11 Restructuring of the Year” for the Lombard Public Facilities Corporation (“LPFC”) restructuring by The Global M&A Network.
The Illinois-based nonprofit, LPFC, owns the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center Hotel in Lombard, Illinois. After commencing Chapter 11 bankruptcy, LPFC implemented a reorganization plan that included the restructuring of more than $250 million of bond debt, hotel recapitalization, and the preservation of 300 jobs. EisnerAmper acted as financial advisor to LPFC.
The Turnaround Atlas Awards is an independently governed awards honoring the best value-creating transactions, outstanding firms, and professionals and leaders from the international restructuring, investing, distressed M&A, and turnaround communities for successfully closing transactions.
The awards will be presented during the 11th Annual Restructuring + Distressed Forum and Turnaround Atlas Awards on Thursday, May 9, at The Metropolitan Club of New York.
“We’re honored to be part of the group that won this prestigious award,” said Deborah Friedland, a Managing Director in EisnerAmper’s Corporate Finance Group and head of its Hospitality Advisory Services. “This project has gotten significant attention, and being part of the team that has been able to make a positive impact is the most rewarding aspect to this type of engagement.”
