EisnerAmper Receives Fourth Appointment in AFFF MDL Litigation

EisnerAmper’s Legal Administration Services Group has received its fourth appointment by the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina in the Aqueous Film-Forming Foams (“AFFF”) Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2873.
“Our team is privileged to have the opportunity to administer these settlements and serve the litigating parties and thousands of Public Water Systems across the country,” said Dustin Mire, EisnerAmper Partner and Leader of the firm’s Legal Administration Services Group.
Dustin and the EisnerAmper team are responsible for collecting, reviewing, analyzing, and approving claims as well as allocating and distributing the settlement funds among all qualifying class members.
These historic class action settlements, collectively valued at more than $14 billion, are designed to resolve claims for PFAS contamination in Public Water Systems’ Drinking Water throughout the U.S. Widely known as ‘forever chemicals,’ PFAS have been used in industrial and commercial applications for decades.
