Warren Darakananda

Warren Darakananda is a managing director with Sherwood, an EisnerAmper Company. Warren has nearly 10 years of experience across the restructuring spectrum, including Chapter 11 reorganizations, assignments for the benefit of creditors (ABCs), receiverships, and out-of-court wind-downs. He advises debtors, creditors, and investors on complex matters involving bankruptcies, reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, and financial investigations.

Warren’s experience includes restructuring plan feasibility, solvency analysis, appraisal disputes, and the valuation of distressed assets. He has served as an expert witness in Chapter 11 cases and has advised parties on complex restructuring and reorganization matters.

As a fiduciary, Warren administers ABC and receivership estates from assignment through claims reconciliation and distribution. His work includes marketing and selling estate assets, managing competing creditor interests, and navigating regulatory review involving cross-border intellectual property transactions across the technology, biotech, and industrial sectors.

Prior to joining Sherwood, Warren held senior consulting roles at several leading advisory consulting firms, serving Fortune 500 companies, private equity funds, and financial institutions. His writing has appeared in the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal and the Securities Regulation Law Journal.
