Tim Schmidt

Tim Schmidt is a Partner in the firm with more than 40 years of experience in public accounting. He specializes in servicing professional and individual practices, including attorneys, physicians, and consulting firms. Tim works with clients and management to identify key objectives and issues and generate strategies and solutions. He also mediates points of disagreement among owners and management.

Tim has deep expertise in business succession planning, compensation formulas, deferred compensation, retirement plans, employee benefits, financial forecasts, mergers and joint ventures, income tax planning, accounting systems and operating budgets. This broad background, versatility and knowledge makes him a tremendous asset for clients and team members.

Tim has had a knack for connecting with his clients, understanding their concerns, and getting to know them personally. The ability to cultivate and grow relationships is what fosters trust and enables Tim and his clients to work together to find solutions to oftentimes critical challenges, and during times of financial uncertainty.

Prior to joining the firm, Tim was a Partner at Lurie LLP, a Minneapolis-based accounting and advisory firm, which provided clients with solutions in accounting, audit, tax planning, wealth management and advisory services, serving business leaders in a wide variety of industries including health care, professional services, technology, manufacturing, real estate and more.
