Matthew Morgan

Matthew Morgan is a Partner and the Chief Operating Officer of Eisner Advisory Group LLC and is a member of the firm’s Executive Management Team. He is responsible for overseeing firm operations including systems, processes, technology and other critical functions to achieve the firm’s strategic goals.
Matt has held COO and other roles at industry-leading firms across professional services sectors: McKinsey (management consulting), Bridgewater Associates (investment management), Parsons Brinckerhoff (design/build engineering), Savills (real estate), and Teneo (strategic communications). He began his career as an Army intelligence officer and is a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan where he was awarded the Bronze Star.
A prolific author and speaker, he has published several books including A Democracy Is Born (2007), The American Military After 9-11 (2008), and the six-volume series The Impact of 9-11: The Day That Changed Everything? (2009). More recently, Matt has written on operational excellence in forums such as PEX Network, CIO Review and BPTrends, and he has spoken at professional conferences in cities around the world, including New York, London, Sydney, Stockholm, Rotterdam, Chicago, San Francisco, San Diego, Austin and others.
Matt’s nonprofit service includes Philanthropy Committee Chair for the Advisory Board of the Mansfield Center, which was founded by a 1983 Act of Congress to foster globally-minded leaders of integrity by promoting bipartisan governance, ethical values in institutions and public affairs, and character in leadership and public service. He also serves on the Board of Governors of Chaminade University of Honolulu and boards of two Connecticut-area Shakespeare festivals: the Capital Classics Theatre Company of Hartford and Shakespeare on the Sound of Rowayton.
