Martin Pichinson is the Managing Partner of Sherwood, an EisnerAmper Company, with more than 40 years of experience advising businesses through complex operational, financial, and strategic challenges. He works closely with management teams, boards, investors, and lenders to help organizations improve performance, restructure operations, maximize enterprise value, and navigate critical business transitions. His experience spans operational turnarounds, corporate restructuring, intellectual property monetization, and strategic growth initiatives.
Martin advises companies on strategies to reposition operations, optimize assets, strengthen market position, and unlock the value of intellectual property portfolios. His collaborative, hands-on approach enables organizations to implement sustainable operational improvements while positioning them for long-term growth and profitability. He currently serves on the board of the Lemelson Center at the Smithsonian National Museum, where he provides insight on innovation, intellectual property, and entrepreneurship.
Prior to joining the firm through the combination with Sherwood Partners, Martin co-founded and served as Co-Managing Member of Sherwood Partners, Inc. Earlier in his career, he served as COO of a well-known cookie company, COO of a major shoe company where he managed real estate holdings and restructured a 280-store retail chain, and COO of a major garment company where he helped increase sales by 800% in under 18 months.
Martin has been published and quoted in national and international publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, BusinessWeek, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Fortune, Business Credit, Institutional Investor’s Journal, Journal of Private Equity, and Venture Capital Journal. He has also been a guest on CNN, CNNfn, NPR, Canada’s RobTV, and other national television news programs. He has served as a presenter and moderator for organizations including The Smithsonian, ABI, TMA, INSEAD, and INSOL.
