Joshua Pichinson

Joshua Pichinson is a Managing Director with Sherwood Partners, an EisnerAmper Company, where he advises organizations on corporate restructuring, business wind-downs, and the monetization of distressed and intellectual property assets. He works with management teams, investors, lenders, and other stakeholders to maximize value through insolvency proceedings, strategic transactions, and intellectual property commercialization.

Joshua specializes in Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors (ABCs), receiverships, and other restructuring engagements. He has extensive experience managing complex business wind-downs, asset disposition processes, and stakeholder negotiations, helping clients preserve and maximize value during periods of transition. In addition to his restructuring work, Joshua leads intellectual property monetization initiatives, advising clients on the valuation, licensing, sale, and commercialization of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and other intangible assets.

Over the course of his career, Joshua has represented a diverse range of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to emerging businesses and individual inventors, helping them develop strategies to unlock the value of intellectual property portfolios. His experience in intellectual property strategy and monetization has earned recognition from IAM Media, which has named him to its IAM Strategy 300, recognizing the world's leading intellectual property strategists. He also serves as news editor for the Emerging Industries and Technology Committee of the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), and is a frequent speaker on topics related to intellectual property monetization, corporate restructuring, and technology.

Prior to joining EisnerAmper through the combination with Sherwood Partners, Joshua served as a Managing Director of agencyIP, Sherwood's intellectual property advisory affiliate, where he focused on intellectual property strategy, licensing, and asset monetization for clients across a wide range of industries.
