Howard Tatz is an Advisor in the firm and has over 40 years of public accounting experience. He specializes in large, privately held companies in the food distribution, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and service industries. Howard has extensive experience in franchising and employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs). He also advises clients on mergers and acquisitions and sales of businesses.
Prior to joining the firm, Howard was Partner-in-Charge of Manufacturing and Distribution, Wholesale and Franchising. He was also an Executive Committee member at Raich Ende Malter & Co. LLP (REM), a leading full-service accounting and auditing firm providing a wide variety of accounting, tax, and business advisory services to organizations of all sizes, emerging businesses, and high net worth individuals. He also served as executor and trustee for several major clients.
Before REM, Howard began his career working for an accounting firm serving New York City’s garment center, then moved on to working with clients in the transportation industry.
Howard is a frequent lecturer and contributor to articles on topics such as current accounting and audit principles and trends within the distribution, wholesale, and franchise industries.
