Carol Surowiec is a Tax Partner in the firm’s Real Estate Services Group and is the Florida Real Estate Practice Leader, with over 30 years of experience in public accounting. Carol has worked extensively in the real estate industry, in addition to working with individuals and closely held businesses on federal and state tax planning and compliance matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Carol was a Tax Partner at both regional and national accounting firms. She has significant experience developing tax-efficient strategies and providing compliance guidance, acting as a business advisor to her clients and advising them on ways to minimize their tax exposure. She provides value by helping clients connect with resources, identifying opportunities, and providing solutions to help them reach their goals.

In the community, Carol is active in several organizations and serves on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami and past President and Treasurer of the Women's Committee. She also served as Treasurer of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Miami-Dade County.

Carol is a frequent speaker on topics such as Qualified Opportunity Zones, tax law updates and trends in the South Florida real estate market, and she has participated on panel discussions for Bisnow, Miami Real Estate Forum and Miami Finance Forum, among others. Additionally, she is active with various real estate industry organizations in the South Florida market.
