Deborah S. Friedland, Managing Director and Practice Leader of EisnerAmper’s Hospitality Advisory Services Group, participated in the panel “Real Talk – Women in Hospitality” at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, which was held in October. The distinguished panel shared with students various career tracks, life choices, lessons learned and proven formulas for success.

The event was sponsored by the Castell Project, a nonprofit group that advocates for diversity and the progress of women in the hospitality industry. The organization’s goal is to ensure that women move to executive positions in the sector. To facilitate this, the organization administers an intensive Leadership Development Program, publishes research to benchmark the progress of women in industry leadership, and conducts other initiatives to advance women in hospitality sector leadership.

“I was honored to speak at my alma mater with this esteemed panel of hospitality professionals,” said Deborah. “Advocating for women to reach their full potential in every industry is an issue that I’m very passionate about.”
