EisnerAmper Partner Named Chair of AICPA SOC 2 Working Group

Global business advisory firm EisnerAmper is pleased to announce that partner Sean P. Linton has been named chair of the American Institute of CPAs (“AICPA”) SOC 2 Working Group.
Reporting to the Audit Standards Executive Committee, the mission of the SOC 2 Working Group is to establish, maintain, and interpret audit standards for SOC 2 engagements. It is also charged with preserving the SOC 2 brand, enhancing audit quality for SOC 2 reports, and ensuring that practitioners have timely answers to their SOC 2 questions or issues. With his extensive SOC expertise as a national instructor, technical reviewer, peer reviewer, and practitioner, Sean will continue the important work of this group alongside some of the leading experts in the SOC 2 space.
Based at EisnerAmper’s Minneapolis office, Sean is an audit partner providing assurance and technology control services. He specializes in SOC examinations, risk assessments, and information systems advising and strategy. With deep expertise in multiple audit disciplines, Sean has served organizations from across the business spectrum—from small investment firms to large international corporations. As a SOC auditor, he helps his clients devise and execute audit strategies to meet myriad compliance and regulatory requirements related to data security and system integrity.
