EisnerAmper Named a 2019 Turnaround Award Winner for “Refinancing Deal of the Year”

EisnerAmper was named a 2019 Turnaround Award Winner by the M&A Advisor publication. Awards will be presented during the 2019 Distressed Investing Summit on March 28 in Palm Beach, Florida.

EisnerAmper, along with a group of allied professional service firms, was part of the “Refinancing Deal of the Year,” under the Refinancing Award Category, for the restructuring of the Lombard Public Facilities Corporation.

More than 275 participating companies were nominated for the 13th annual awards for the best of the distressed investing and reorganization industry in 2018. These companies were judged by an independent panel of industry experts.

The Lombard PFC operates the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center in Lombard, Illinois. After commencing Chapter 11 bankruptcy, the group implemented a reorganization plan, which included the restructuring of more than $250 million of bond debt, hotel recapitalization, and the preservation of 300 jobs.

“We’re thrilled to be part of the group that won this award,” said Deborah Friedland, a Managing Director in EisnerAmper’s Corporate Finance Group and head of its Hospitality Advisory Services. “There were a lot of moving parts, but we were ultimately able to accomplish what we set out to do and help put the Lombard Center in a much stronger position to succeed going forward.”
