Sallie Krawcheck keynotes; Donna Brazile and Karen Hughes examine the 2020 election and its impact on the alternative investment industry

EisnerAmper’s 5th Annual Alternative Investment Summit will be held virtually on Thursday, September 24, 2020. This year’s theme: “2020: A Year of Change” will take a fresh look at where the alternative investment industry is headed.

This has been a year of dramatic change and uncertainty, perhaps like no other. We’re witnessing unprecedented political, social and economic change—as well as the impact of a global pandemic. In addition, the upcoming 2020 presidential election is sure to be a watershed moment in our history as the vote aligns with the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which occurred earlier this year, granting women the right to vote.

The Summit features leading investors and fund managers doing a deep dive on the hedge fund, private equity, venture capital and alternative investment markets. This thought-provoking afternoon features highly interactive concurrent LP, hedge fund and private equity panel discussions that will cover issues and insights affecting the alternative investments industry, as well as offers a macro perspective on the economic market outlook, global landscape, current market volatility, impact of COVID-19 and more. Thought leaders will include Bloomberg, Institutional Limited Partners Association, Business Insider, Florida State Board of Administration, Quadratic Capital Management, Melody Capital Management, Leeds Equity Partners, and more.

This year’s Summit will kick-off with keynote speaker Sallie Krawcheck, CEO and Co-Founder of Ellevest. The Summit will close with a fireside chat with EisnerAmper CEO, Charles Weinstein, interviewing Donna Brazile, Founder of Brazile and Associates, LLC, and the former Chair of the Democratic National Committee; and Karen Hughes, Worldwide Vice Chair, Burson Cohn & Wolfe, who served as counselor to President George W. Bush and Under Secretary of the State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs. The trio will discuss the upcoming election and what may lie ahead for the country and world.

EisnerAmper’s exclusive Summit is designed for GPs, CIOs, CFOs, COOs, CAOs, controllers, portfolio managers and operations specialists from alternative investment management firms including private equity funds, hedge funds, venture capital funds, family offices, real estate funds, funds of funds, pensions, endowments and foundations, institutional investors, and other financial service executives and key personnel within the alternative investment industry.

“Even though this year’s Summit is virtual in order to keep our staff, clients and colleagues safe, we’re still pulling out all the stops to make this event just as engaging, enjoyable and informative as our prior Summits,” said Peter Cogan, Managing Partner of EisnerAmper’s Financial Services Group. “With all of us living in this open-ended ‘new normal,’ it becomes even more important to get timely, accurate information from financial industry thought leaders and trend setters.”
