Shruti Chechani

Shruti Chechani is a Tax Manager in the Financial Services Group with over five years of experience specializing in U.S. federal and state taxation for investment management clients, including hedge funds, private equity funds, and fund of funds. She has extensive experience reviewing partnership tax returns and related filings for complex fund structures, including large funds with significant assets under management.

Shruti has significant experience reviewing partnership tax returns (Form 1065) and associated filings, including Schedules K-1, K-2, and K-3. Her expertise spans key technical areas such as wash sales, Section 1256 contracts, foreign reporting, and investor-level allocations. She also has deep experience in international tax compliance, including Forms 5471, 8621, 8865, 8804/8805, and 1042/1042-S reporting.

In addition to her technical role, Shruti leads engagement teams, manages end-to-end delivery across multiple projects, and supports process improvement initiatives. She has also trained and mentored team members and contributes actively to recruitment and onboarding efforts.
