Richard Root is a Director in the Family Office Services practice, within the firm’s Outsourced Services Group. He has more than 30 years of experience providing comprehensive services to ultra high net worth individuals, corporate executives, and institutional clients. Richard has hands-on experience operating all aspects of managing a personal services business. He also specializes in providing outsourced CFO and family office services to clients.
Most recently, Richard served as Vice President and Client Facing Senior Account Manager at a large hedge fund administrator, servicing several of its large hedge fund clients. Prior to that, he was Chief Financial Officer for over 13 years of a registered investment advisor that provided traditional long only and alternative strategies to its ultra and high net worth individuals along with institutional investors. During his 25 year tenure, Richard specialized in alternative investments and was responsible for its operations, financial reporting, human resources, compliance, and technology. Additionally, Richard was an Audit Senior at EisnerAmper from 1991 to 1994 before returning to the firm.
