Phil Gunn

Phil Gunn is a Senior Advisor in the firm. With nearly 45 years of public accounting experience, Phil has worked extensively in the energy industry. Phil's experience includes serving both emerging, high-growth businesses and Fortune 100 multi-national companies. 

Phil brings extensive expertise in acquisition and divestiture transactions, complemented by profound knowledge of SEC regulations, internal control assessments, and internal audit initiatives. He has led multi-national audit teams and coordinated work performed by different audit firms in foreign locations. Phil has also testified as an expert on oil and gas accounting matters in Federal court.
Prior to joining the firm, Phil was a Director at Postlethwaite & Netterville's Accounting and Assurance Services Group and the Managing Director of the firm's New Orleans area practice from 2013 to 2022. Prior to joining P&N in 2013, Phil served as an Audit Partner for a Big4 firm for 20 years. Throughout his career, Phil has served several publicly owned energy companies follows.

Phil has held the position of Past President in several prominent organizations. He led the LCPA both statewide and for the New Orleans Chapter, guided the Council of Petroleum Accountants Society's New Orleans Chapter, and served as Past President of the University of New Orleans International Alumni Association.
