Melissa Peroyea

Melissa Peroyea is a Director in the firm's Accounting and Assurance Services Group with nearly 40 years of experience providing audit services to health care industry clients, including hospitals, nursing homes, and physician practices.
 
Melissa has served as the Project Director for the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) long-term care audit contract since 1996. Her responsibilities include day-to-day operations of the project, communications with LDH, and ensuring the completion of all contract responsibilities by other team members. She is also responsible for cost report reimbursement research, provider training, and assistance with special reports as requested by LDH management. She has also assisted LDH legal in research and preparation for various appeals. 

In addition, she has been heavily involved in the Louisiana Chapter of Healthcare Financial Management Association, serving in numerous leadership roles, including President during 2004/2005. She has also received several honors and awards for her volunteer efforts with the Chapter, including the Founder's Medal of Honor award and the Gwen Fitzgerald Kliebert Excellence in Leadership award.

Prior to joining the firm, Melissa was an Associate Director at Postlethwaite & Netterville (P&N), a leading full-service accounting and business advisory firm. Before this, she was a Senior Manager with a Big 4 accounting firm.
