Kayla Falgoust

Kayla Falgoust is a Manager in the firm’s Assurance Services Group, specializing in governmental audit engagements. With nearly 20 years of experience in internal and external audit, Kayla leads complex assurance engagements for public sector clients across Louisiana, including Ascension Parish, the City/Parish of East Baton Rouge, and the City of Thibodaux.

As a manager, Kayla oversees all phases of the audit process—from initial planning to final issuance. She manages engagement scheduling, client coordination, team supervision, and technical review, ensuring quality and compliance at every step. Her areas of expertise include financial statement audits, internal control assessments, Single Audits, and audits of governmental entities and nonprofit organizations. She is known for her ability to lead teams effectively, communicate with clients, and deliver results on time and within scope.

Kayla began her career in audit through internships with both private and public sector organizations, where she gained early exposure to process reviews, procurement audits, and analytical evaluations. She later served as Audit Staff at Postlethwaite & Netterville (P&N), working with school boards, parish governments, and nonprofit organizations—testing internal controls and major financial statement areas to ensure compliance and transparency.
