Irene Sung

Irene Sung is a Director in the firm's Private Client Services Group, with nearly 20 years of public accounting experience.  Irene has experience in various aspects of tax compliance and consulting in personal taxation for high-net-worth individuals, flow-through enterprises, partnerships, and S corporations.  Irene brings expertise in individual taxation, global mobility, and executive tax planning. She provides tailored advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and global organizations, focusing on tax strategies for expatriates, inpatriates, and mobile employees. 

In addition to tax compliance and advisory services, Irene has represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service and state tax authorities. This would include handling tax correspondence, federal and state tax audits along with tax lien matters.

Before joining the firm, Irene served as a Tax Senior Manager at a Big 4 accounting firm, where she led the Americas Region for one of the firm’s flagship multinational clients. She partnered with HR, tax, and finance teams during her tenure to identify risks, implement streamlined processes, and develop immigration and mobility strategies on a range of employment and individual tax matters.
