David R. Silversmith

David Silversmith is a Senior Manager in the firm's Private Client Services Group. With over 20 years of experience, David specializes in providing tax services to high net worth and ultra high net worth individuals and their families, including trusts & estates. David primarily focuses on serving clients in the Financial Services, Sports, & Entertainment industries. 

David provides high-level fiduciary, personal income, gift, and estate tax compliance services, along with estate planning advisory services. He reviews individual, fiduciary, estate, gift tax returns, and estate and trust fiduciary accountings. He also handles federal and state tax notices and audits, researches tax laws across federal, state, and international levels, and prepares tax memorandums to develop tax-saving strategies. Furthermore, David manages client accounts, maintains client relationships, reviews estate planning-related legal documents, and oversees other group members, managing their workload and training to enhance their skills and group performance. 

David also contributes to his field by authoring articles parimarily focused on taxation topics. David has published 14 articles, including 13 in the Journal of Accountancy and 1 in the CPA Journal.

Prior to joining the firm, David was a Senior Manager at a large public accounting firm.
