Angel Cortez

Angel Alberto Cortez is an Assurance Senior with Eisner Advisory Group, bringing experience supporting audit and consulting engagements for nonprofit organizations, state and local governments, Tribal governments, gaming commissions, and healthcare entities. He works with clients on assurance and financial reporting matters, focusing on audit support, trial balance mapping, and financial statement preparation.

 

Angel supports audit engagements by developing internal workpapers, preparing documentation, and assisting with financial reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders. His experience includes mapping trial balances, preparing financial statements, and supporting assurance teams across multiple industries, while ensuring audit materials are accurate, organized, and client-ready.

 

Prior to joining the firm, Angel served as an Experienced Consultant at an advisory firm, where he supported internal audit preparation, performed operational accounting functions, conducted construction-related invoice audits, and prepared monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for clients.
