EisnerAmper’s commitment to the not-for-profit sector goes beyond client service, to encompass thought leadership and participation in standard-setting conferences. As Chair of the AICPA Governmental and Not-for-Profit Training Conference, Not-for-Profit Services Partner Candice Meth opened the event in Las Vegas on Monday, October 17th with remarks on the importance of sharing knowledge with peers and clients alike. With over 500 live attendees, and another 120 watching online, the event continues to grow in prominence. Key speakers from FASB, GASB, the IRS and the FBI, among other agencies, are sharing the trends in governance and compliance that are affecting the sector.
This may be Candice’s first year as Chair, but she has been serving as part of the planning committee for five years. In addition to her service on the planning side, she is continuing her five-year streak of presenting to the conference. Her sessions this year include Leveraging the Power of Alternative Fundraising: Risks, Rewards and Reporting; Accounting for Charitable Donations: The Non-cash Kind; and Reporting Deficiencies of Not-for-Profits.
