Lisa Knee, Tax Partner and Co-Leader of the firm’s national Real Estate practice, was a guest of hosts Paul Sweeney and Matt Miller on Bloomberg Radio discussing the prospects for commercial real estate as the world slowly rebounds from the coronavirus.

Lisa talked about office space in major cities, which was on the decline even before COVID-19. This “de-densification” trend may continue as tenants negotiate shorter terms or utilize more co-working spaces like We Work. Valuations were another topic of interest to the hosts, with Lisa giving her thoughts in this key area.

Another sector that continues to struggle is retail, however, Lisa pointed out that that is a result of oversupply versus e-commerce. Industrial centers remain the darling of the real estate sector. And, to bring it back full circle, Lisa expressed optimism for leisure and hospitality as post-pandemic pent-up demand should be significant. Check out the full interview here.
