Partner-in-Charge of EisnerAmper’s Professional Practice Group Yan Zhang was reappointed to the Financial Accounting Foundation’s (FAF’s) Private Company Council (PCC) for a three-year term through December 31, 2022.

The PCC advises the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), which is overseen by the FAF, on the accounting treatment for private companies for items under active consideration on the FASB’s technical agenda. The PCC also advises the FASB on possible alternatives within GAAP to address the needs of users of private company financial statements.

Yan has more than 20 years of auditing and accounting experience, specializing in SEC filings, private company financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, and other transactional filings. She also has significant expertise in auditing under PCAOB and AICPA rules and regulations, as well as accounting and financial reporting—including U.S. GAAP, International Financial Reporting Standards, and other comprehensive basis of accounting.

“The FASB benefits greatly from the diverse perspectives found among PCC members,” said Charles H. Noski, FAF Board of Trustees Chair. “With these appointments and reappointments, we continue to bring outstanding talent and thoughtful points of view to the task of serving private company stakeholders.”
