Yehuda Weinman is a Tax Manager in the firm’s State and Local Tax Group. With over 10 years of experience providing tax compliance and sales tax audit defense service, Yehuda works closely with clients providing a variety of advisory services and he has been instrumental in savings clients millions of dollars to reduce tax assessments. Yehuda services clients in a variety of industries, including construction, real estate, retail, hospitality, technology, manufacturing, health care and professional services firms, providing advisory services regarding state and local tax issues.
Yehuda analyzes business transactions to determine whether certain transactions are taxable and he advises clients on the effects of the economic nexus sales tax laws. The type of client varies from for closely held businesses to multi-billion dollar global organizations in a wide range of industries.
In addition to tax compliance and advisory services, Yehuda has experience with tax controversy matters, representing clients, in various states, including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, California, Florida, Texas, Illinois, Washington, Arkansas, and Tennessee.
Prior to joining the firm, Yehuda was a Tax Manager at a national accounting firm where he managed numerous engagements. He also did research, prepared, and reviewed sales and use tax matrixes for clients in various industries, such as construction, retail, manufacturing, hospitality, property management, and law firms.
In the community, Yehuda is Treasurer of Simchas Halev, and Treasurer Emeritus of Congregation Pomona Heights. Additionally, Yehuda has presented on various sales tax topics to staff internally and he is a contributor to the firm’s State and Local Tax blog.
