William Van Aken

William Van Aken is an Audit Manager in the Real Estate Services Group with over five years of public accounting experience providing accounting and audit services to clients in the real estate and hospitality industry, including commercial and residential companies in operation or in development. Will is responsible for all phases of the audit process, including planning, organization, supervision, and review of financial statement and other assurance related services.

Prior to joining the firm, Will was an Audit Senior at the accounting firm Imowitz Koenig & Co., LLP (IK) and their real estate fund advisory firm Real Estate Systems Implementation Group LLC (RESIG). He provided accounting and assurance services to real estate industry, including commercial, residential, and hotel clients, in addition to real estate investment funds.

In the community, Will is an active volunteer with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing cruelty to animals.

Will is a contributor to the firm’s website on topics of real estate. He assists in internal training for staff and is involved in the mentoring staff and recruitment of new employees.
