Accessing Resources Across Latin America

EisnerAmper is always looking to grow its presence throughout Latin America. One key question I’ve asked myself is “What resources can help us?” Fortunately, EisnerAmper is a member of Allinial Global which is a network of independent accounting and consulting firms whose members reinforce client service by exchanging expertise, resources, and advice across a wide range of industries. EisnerAmper is a member of this partnership.
For me, being based in South Florida – the gateway to the Americas – knowing our LATAM Allinial members is extremely valuable in serving our international clients. In fact, the online list of Allinial Global’s Latin American firms is long and impressive.
I recently attended the Allinial Global Latin American Regional Conference. The conference was the perfect opportunity to cultivate personal relationships with the professionals leading those firms. Turnout at the event was impressive – by my count, about 50 professionals from 15 or so different countries were in attendance.
The two-day agenda featured expert speakers and roundtable discussions on topics such as:
- firm management;
- marketing; and
- growth strategy among others.
Each presentation was a perfect facilitator for discussions on how firms were overcoming different challenges. While there were great takeaways from all the sessions, I found Adrian Romero’s (Grupo Consultor EFE in Mexico) presentation Using Technology as Part of Your Growth Strategy particularly innovative and thought provoking. As with most great conferences, there was also plenty of networking opportunities.
Overall, I found the conference to be a productive, enjoyable and very well run event that I hope to attend again over the coming years. The individuals I fostered connections with and the firms I was able to learn more about over these two days were extremely impressive.
I left the Allinial Global conference full of ideas and with valuable connections that will ultimately assist our clients with their international growth goals and objectives.
