Gerald Maloney

Gerald Maloney is a Senior Manager within the firm's Risk and Compliance Services (RCS) practice and has over 10 years of experience in internal audit, technology, SOX compliance, and risk management. He has experience working within various industries including biopharmaceutical, manufacturing and distribution, construction, and energy industry.  Gerry has also worked with large publicly traded SOX 404a and 404b clients as well as smaller public companies.

Gerry takes a risk-based approach to identify risks that pose a threat to the organization and work with management, executives, members of the board to develop internal controls or enhance and strengthen the existing environment to mitigate those risks. He works with clients to ensure controls are appropriately designed and implemented and then develops a testing plan and approach. Gerry and his team then perform testing to determine whether controls are operating as designed and provide results of testing with any necessary observations or recommendations. He utilizes technology and looks at the clients' environment to ensure services are value adding.

Gerry’s experience also includes material weakness remediations, assisting clients with new program and system implementations, developing policies and procedures, and a variety of other advisory projects.

Prior to joining the firm, Gerry was a Manager at a national accounting firm where he provided advisory services to a mix of public and privately held companies on the internal audit side working closely with management and external auditors.
