Dave Bookbinder is a Director in the Financial Advisory Services (FAS) Group. With more than 25 years of experience, Dave has a diverse background in corporate finance consulting with particular expertise in the areas of business valuation and intellectual property valuation. He has conducted valuations of the securities and intangible assets of public and private corporations (under IRC 409a, ASC 820, ASC 805, ASC 350 and ASC 718) for various purposes including acquisition and divestiture, fairness opinions, reorganizations, solvency opinions, recapitalizations, estate planning, and regulatory compliance. Dave has prepared valuations of business enterprises, intellectual property, capital stock and stock options for purposes such as mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations and S-Corporation conversions.
During his career, Dave has provided financial advisory services to client companies for strategic planning purposes including buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions, private placements of senior debt, securitization of lease and loan receivables, and pre-acquisition purchase price allocation analysis.
Prior to joining the firm, Dave launched and led a valuation practice for a major consulting firm. His background also includes valuation leadership roles with two national accounting firms, and an investment firm.
Dave was recognized by SmartCEO Magazine with an award for Executive Management, and he is also a recipient of the Morris Groner Award for Entrepreneurship. Dave is a contributor to the Business section of The HuffPost and the author of the #1 best-selling book about the impact of human capital on the valuation of a business enterprise called The NEW ROI: Return On Individuals.
