Steven Schaeffer

Steven Schaeffer is a Tax Advisor with 35 years of public accounting experience in a broad cross-section of industries. Steve specializes in corporate tax, auditing, reorganizations, acquisitions and dispositions. 

Prior to joining the firm, Steve was a founding partner at Cohen & Schaeffer, a boutique accounting firm in New York City that specialized in in advising international tax clients. He started his career at the Internal Revenue Service. His career has included being a tax partner at two national accounting firms; a principal at an international accounting firm where led the mergers and acquisitions department. He also worked at a large multi-national accounting firm and was responsible for the large corporate clients.

Steve has been involved with professional education and taught undergraduate and graduate level tax and accounting courses including auditing and presented seminars in corporate tax.
