Richard Stepler

Richard Stepler is a Partner in the Private Client Services Group and leader of the Oil and Gas Services Group, with more than 10 years of experience in public accounting. He provides tax compliance, planning and advisory services with a focus on the oil and gas industry and high net worth individuals. Richard also serves clients in the manufacturing and distribution and private equity industries.

Richard leads a team of dedicated professionals with a passion for servicing clients in the oil and gas industry. He oversees the planning and execution of strategies to maximize the tax efficiency of corporate and family-owned structures. Richard’s team brings a value-added approach to tailor results to the needs of each client.

Prior to joining the firm, Richard was a Senior Manager with Goldin Peiser & Peiser, LLP (GPP), a leading full-service audit, tax, and accounting firm in Dallas.

Richard began his career with a national accounting firm and spent seven years in the tax services group. He managed key accounts for several of the firm’s largest clients in the oil and gas industry. Richard helped a client restructure its multinational operations to obtain over $40 million of tax savings on a $500 million sale transaction and led a task force to implement tax strategies for high net worth clients under the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
