Youmna Assad

Youmna Assad is a Director in the Real Estate Services Group, with over 15 years of public accounting, serving private companies. She has significant expertise in private equity, real estate investment funds, including private REITs, private equity real estate funds, and real estate operating and management companies.

Youmna has substantial experience in consulting with her clients on a variety of value-add matters centered around entity structures, asset vs. business acquisitions, valuation, basis of accounting and reporting, strategic use of assets, and evaluating how new accounting pronouncements impact transactions and related financial reporting. Her clients’ portfolios include land, operating commercial retail, single and multifamily residential properties, office buildings, home builders, and interests in real estate entities.

Prior to joining the firm, Youmna was an Audit Principal at a regional accounting firm and worked with the real estate group. She also worked for a professional services firm and was involved in developing best practices and training curriculums for the real estate audit practice, and she was also a technical resource for financial reporting matters in real estate for her clients and internally.

Youmna has facilitated internal training on real estate related topics, including the use of technology, valuation, new revenue recognition guidance and how it impacts real estate client, and overall the private equity real estate market.
