Biography
Vanessa Kabongo is a Tax Senior Manager and a member of the Financial Services Group. She has over five years of public accounting experience servicing asset management clients, including regulated investment companies, hedge funds, and fund of funds. Vanessa’s expertise encompasses providing tax advisory and tax compliance services to investment management companies with varying investment fund types, investment strategies, and complex transactions.
Vanessa’s specific areas of service include assisting audit teams with the review of annual financial statements and the analysis of ASC 740 GAAP disclosure requirements. Additionally, Vanessa assists clients with the calculation of annual taxable income, tax allocations, and annual excise distributions.
Prior to joining the firm, Vanessa was a Tax Manager at a Big 4 accounting firm where she provided tax advisory and compliance services to financial services clients.
