Tom Cardinale is a Tax Partner in with over 20 years of public accounting experience and a member of the firm’s Corporate Tax Group. His core responsibilities include managing large business tax compliance engagements for domestic and multinational C-Corporations. Tom is also proficient in ASC 740 income tax provision compliance for public and private companies. Overall, Tom has vast experience in the manufacturing, distribution, retail, service, and technology space.
Tom is a tax service leader and contributor to several firm specialty services, including blockchain and cryptocurrency, and cannabis and hemp. He is also an advisor to the Transaction Advisory Services Group (TAS). For these services he advises business owners on specialty tax provisions, tax strategies in mergers and acquisitions, due diligence support, and devising tax planning opportunities.
In media activities, Tom is the Editor-in-Chief of the firm’s Business Tax Quarterly newsletter, a publication covering relevant tax topics that businesses are dealing with. He has also been interviewed by Bloomberg, The Real Deal, and New Jersey CPA magazine on hot tax topics affecting businesses.
Throughout his career, Tom has conducted several presentations, and been a panel speaker on an array of topics, including tax reform implementation, provision compliance, and tax entity choice for the Tax Executives Institute (NJ/NY Chapters), Financial Executives International, and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.
