Tanya E. Dunbar
Tanya Dunbar is a Director in the Risk Management Group with over 15 years of technical consulting, auditing and accounting services experience serving a variety of public and private entities. She is responsible for engagement quality reviews of financial statement audits with regard to the application of audit methodology, compliance and documentation. Tanya has oversight in ensuring that the quality control standards required by the firm to establish criteria, policies and procedures are implemented for the performance of engagement quality control review (EQCR). In addition, she develops and enhances the firm’s overall quality control and regulatory compliance structure.
Tanya also has experience managing the audits of domestic public banks that require SEC reporting, foreign bank branches, broker-dealers, and employee benefit plans, in addition to being well versed in SOX 404 compliance work.
Prior to joining the firm, Tanya was an Inspection Specialist with the PCAOB, and also had tenure with two of the Big 4 accounting firms in both a national quality organization and client service roles.
Most recently, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) named Tanya a “Woman to Watch”, during NJCPA Ovation Awards for 2021. She serves on EisnerAmper’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Council, and is co-chair of the Black Employees Network (BEN). BEN strives to build an environment that fosters and promotes productivity and creativity for all group members, by providing a new light into the public accounting profession, valuing individuals, encouraging their development and rewarding their performance. She also serves on the Women of EisnerAmper Steering Committee in the New Jersey office.
