October 15, 2012

EisnerAmper’s Consulting Services Group discusses the transition from SAS70 to SOC (“Service Organization Control”) reports in a recent interview with the Financial Management Network. This video discusses the types of SOC reports available to meet the needs of service organizations, and the differences between SOC 1 reports covering internal controls over financial reporting prepared under the SSAE16 framework and the new SOC 2 and SOC 3 reports that cover controls relating to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, or privacy that may be better suited to a service organization’s customers.
